My faithful alpha readers may have noticed I haven't posted anything in a while. That's because I haven't written anything in a while. Being sick kind of takes away the momentum, y'know. So now I am going to share the frustration by listing a few things I am NOT working on, but should be. I think it's an exercise in masochism, because people telling me I should be writing them isn't going to make me less gloomy. But I also kind of want to say "hey, look, aren't they neat?" So here we go.

I had an epic dream last night. It started off with I and my father watching a movie, where a guy's son was apparently super-brilliant, and the son was taken up to a space-station, a sort of research colony. Then we're back to Earth with the father, and there's a mushroom cloud in the distance. Apocalypse! Lots of devastation. And then the people from the space-station come down all rescue-like, and the father is walking one day and sees people coming from the space-station, and lo and behold, it's his son! Reunion time.

However, this is epic movie, so instead of ending there, it goes on. Also, the PoV kept on switching from watching the movie, to being a PoV character in the actual story. ( and there is epicness )

I don't usually have epic dreams like that. This one actually had a plot! Though it sort of meandered away from a plot in the end.

The finish-a-thon is coming up in a few weeks, so I've been pondering what story ideas I'll put up for the vote this year. Looking back on the ideas of previous years, and some additional ideas, I have more than ten; but I'd like to have fewer than ten. So, like I did last year, I turn to y'all for feedback on my candidates.

Prompted by this post, I decided to try out the "Mysterious Fruit" aka "Miracle Berry" and bought some freeze-dried pills. This morning I tried it. The pill itself (half a pill) tasted a bit tart, but that was okay. I then tried my Bircher Muesli (unsweetened natural yogurt being a main ingredient) and lemon tea (white tea with Real Lemon Juice). The tea tasted mildly sweet, just the way I like it. The Bircher Muesli tasted mildly sweet also. Sucking on a lemon ice cube (that's how I got my lemon juice) the taste was a mix of sweet and sour. Probably it was that my tongue wasn't completely coated. Cool, amazing and weird, though I think I didn't get as much cognitive dissonance as I might have, because I was eating/drinking things that could have had sugar added to them, even though I knew that they hadn't. If I'd been eating an actual lemon, the strangeness would have been greater.

So, kalinda001 has recently been posting her massive PGP epic on b7fic, and I've been downloading it to read later. And reading the summaries as I go, naturally. And I got an idea. Not one that I could write myself, but I think it might appeal to astrogirl2...

Okay, I'm posting a variation on the "cliff, shag, marry" meme.
