Friends policy: Please don't be insulted if I don't friend you, even if you've friended me. I tend to restrict "friends" to those people I also know from other contexts (such as the Lyst, or other lists, or RL), or to people whom I find we have Important Things in common. On the other hand, if you've friended me and I ought to know who you are, but don't, please tell me! People on LJ have a tendency not to put their real names on things.
However, it's also true that life is but finite in time, so if my life starts getting out of hand, I may start dropping people, not because I dislike them, but because I simply can't keep up with them.
Anonymous comments policy: I have enabled anonymous commenting because I have friends who aren't on LJ whom I would like to be able to post comments. However, if you take advantage of this and comment without giving a name in the comment then I will delete that comment. (Obviously, anonymous posting memes are an exception to this rule)
