Oh, and I'm so glad it was, because I had no idea it even existed until now, and it's brilliant. Spot-on characterization, good balance of fandoms, sly in-jokes, funny and tragic at the same time -- well done!
I'm not surprised you missed it; I forgot to mention it here until quite a ways after it had been written, because with the anonymity imposed by Multiverse, one can't mention it when it first comes up, and then I just forgot.
I remember I spent some time immersing myself in HHGG to try to figure out the best time and place to set it, and to try to get a better handle on Zaphod, whom I hadn't written before.
Thing is, stories often take me by surprise as to whether people really like them or not. Me, always happy for pleasant surprises.
That was rather fun. I know nothing--well, maybe a microscopic jot more than nothing--about HHGttG, but I do know the 9th Doctor, of course, and from that POV, it was fun.
I'll have to share with Geo, who *is* familiar with both.
