Belated Filks

Back in May 2003, I went to stay with [info]watervole and, amongst other things, we had a lot of fun writing Stargate filks, mostly silly, some poignant. I didn't upload them at the time, because Judith wanted to use one of them in "Truth And Consequences", and I think I may have considered saving them for zines.

Anyway, that's a long time ago now, and [info]astrogirl2's post about "Into The Fire" reminded me of "All In A Day's Work", and I was surprised to find that it wasn't on my site. So I've tracked them down and uploaded the poor forgotten things.

Good to see them up there.

I'd put a note on Hathor the Pink suggesting that people only sing their favourite half a dozen verses. I had the horrible experience recently of being at a filk session where someone sang every single verse, including the really dire ones and it was far too long like that.

I think it's up to them how many verses they sing; no point in putting up a note IMHO.

I'd still make the suggestion. There's mentality that all songs should be sung exactly as written.

I think the version she sang might even have had a couple more verses than you had (I might have written a few extra at some time). A note just suggesting that people sing their favourite verses might make them take that step and pick and choose.
